GelGreen® is the safer alternative to comparable DNA stains. Shown by the Ames test and other tests to be nonmutagenic and noncytotoxic, GelGreen® carries fewer health risks than ethidium bromide, and is safe for disposal down the drain or in regular trash. It may be visualized using safe, blue light excitation (such as blueGel™ or blueBox™) in addition to UV.
