Introduction to Mutation Discovery & Screening

This section looks at a variety of enzymes that aid in both mutation discovery and screening. The enzymes in this section distinguish between DNA sequences with a difference as little as one base pair and are useful for single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP's) analysis and the simultaneous mutagenesis of multiple sites.

In ligation amplification,(Ligase Chain Reaction (LCR)) endonucleases outlined in this section specifically degrade RNA in a RNA/DNA hybrid without affecting DNA or unhybridised DNA.
