The MasterPure™ DNA Purification Kit for blood version II can be used to isolate exceptionally pure genomic DNA, TNA or for RNA from whole mammalian blood or buffy coat. Up to 100µg of DNA can be recovered from 600µl of buffy coat in less than 30 minutes using only 1.5-ml microcentrifuge tubes. The purified DNA can be used directly as a template in amplification reactions, for digestion with restriction enzymes, or for Southern blotting. Protocols are provided for genomic DNA purification from whole blood.
