Epicentre's® patented MasterAmp™ 10X PCR Enhancer (with betaine*) substantially improves PCR performance and allows improved sensitivity and specificity for amplification of many DNA templates. The MasterAmp PCR Enhancer with Betaine enables PCR of difficult templates by suppressing DNA polymerase pauses and stops. In addition, betaine is known to change the melting temperature (T_m) of duplex DNA and to increase the thermostability of some enzymes.
