The FailSafe™ GREEN Real-Time PCR System uses the FailSafe™ PCR Enzyme Mix and an extensively tested set of 12 FailSafe™ GREEN PCR "PreMixes", representing various PCR conditions.
These PreMixes contain everything you need for successful quantitative PCR: SYBR®Green I dye, dNTPs, buffer, and varying amounts of MgCl2 and Epicentre's® patented FailSafe™ PCR Enhancer with Betaine.* The system also includes ROX, a passive reference fluorescent dye, which may be required for signal normalization in SYBR®Green dye reactions when using ABI real-time PCR instruments. During each round of DNA synthesis, the SYBR®Green I dye binds to the amplified PCR products and the amplicon quantity is monitored in real time by measuring its fluorescence. The incorporation of SYBR®Green I dye into a real-time PCR reaction provides great flexibility because no target-specific probes are required
