The Standard is prepared by serial dilution of a stock solution of DNA, the concentration of which was originally determined by measuring the optical density of a solution at both 260 and 280nm and by mass and finally by pico green assay. The stock solution from which batches of this Standard and comprises purified human placental DNA previously sonicated under standard conditions to give DNA sizes in the range of 300 to 500bp. Custom-made concentrations are available on request.

Quality Control:

This batch of DNA Standard has been prepared in aseptic conditions in an environment that is as DNA-free as possible. It has been independently quality controlled, and because it is prepared away from the user's laboratory, there is less danger of contamination.
