DNA Polymerase (Calf Thymus)

This enzyme contains primase activity and is isolated from a human cell line by immunoaffinity chromatography. It is useful in DNA replication reconstruction experiments requiring a eukaryotic DNA polymerase a primase. All preparations are assayed for contaminating endo- and exonuclease activity and are tested in a primase-dependent DNA replication system.

One unit is the amount required to incorporate 1nm of total nucleotide into acid-soluble form in 60 min at 37°C under the assay conditions.
