Anti-Ready-Lyse™ IgG is a polyclonal antibody with high specificity and affinity for Ready-Lyse™ Lysozyme that can be used to monitor the presence of Ready-Lyse Lysozyme during bioprocessing and purification of recombinant proteins from E. coli and other bacteria (Figure 1). The antibody detects <20 ng of Ready-Lyse Lysozyme with dot blots or Western blots (Figure 2). Anti-Ready-Lyse IgG is provided in a 25-µl package size and is sold for research use only. The suggested dilution for use is 1:10,000.

Figure 1. Western blot immunodetection of Ready-Lyse™ Lysozyme. Protein samples were run on SDS-15% polyacrylamide gels. One gel was stained for protein with Coomassie Brilliant Blue. Proteins from another gel, with an identical set of samples, were electroblotted onto a prewetted PVDF membrane. Antigen was detected on the blot as described in the supplied protocol using Anti-Ready-Lyse™ IgG. Lane 1, molecular weight markers; lanes 2-5, Ready-Lyse Lysozyme Standards 1, 2, 5, and 10 ng respectively; lane 6, Clone A, E. coli extract prepared with Ready-Lyse Lysozyme; lane 7 Clone B, E. coli extract prepared with Ready-Lyse Lysozyme; lane 8, Clone C, E. coli extract prepared without Ready-Lyse Lysozyme.
